Executive Education Series - Session 1
3/19/2010 7:30:00 AM - 3/19/2010 9:30:00 AM
Part one of a four-part series

The Executive Education Series is a four-part series which will take place in each quarter of 2010. The series is geared for Business owners, CEO’s and C-level management and will focus on key areas of interest.

The series will kick off on March 19, with Session 1 focusing on Finance, Accounting & Taxes. It will build on your understanding of current regulations and best practices in the field today. Learn the systems your business can institute to keep finances in line and monitor your money more efficiently.

Session 1 speakers will include Steve Chiarappa, CPA, owner of Chiarappa & Associates, Ltd. Steve will address the burgeoning problem of employee theft and steps your business can take to eliminate risk. Learn how your business can better manage its money.

Also on hand will be Liz Kuonen, CTP, Market Manager, VP Business Banking & Treasury Management at National City Bank. Liz’s topic of Fraud Prevention will transcend business revenue size. Expect an overview of activities every business should be doing (separation or outsourcing of the payables and reconciliation functions, requiring dual authority and tokens for all electronic disbursements, etc). She will share statistics and background to underscore the criticality of using these systems. She’ll address universal bank products (lockbox, debit block and positive pay), that will provide you with future considerations and more complex solutions that will more thoroughly protect your business.

Session 2, on Friday, June 4, will focus on Marketing & Public Relations, from strategic planning to managing your reputation.

Session 3, on Friday, September 3, will focus on Developing & Incentivizing your Sales Team, including compensation structures.

Session 4, on Friday, November 19, will deal with Training & Employee Retention – Training the employees that contribute to business growth.

All sessions will be in a round-table format and participants will meet with our experts for 30 minutes, with time for questions. We will have 3-4 experts address the group in a small group setting, allowing for more individualized attention.

The cost of each session in the series is $50. If you attend all four, the final session is free!  Register for Session 1 below. Registration deadline is March 15, 2010.
