DESCRIPTION:Work-life balance: Elusive in the best of times\, but essential during a pandemic\n\nMost women struggle to balance the competing demands placed upon them as they juggle careers and family responsibilities. The Covid-19 health crisis has pushed most of us to our limit\; we are spread thin with fewer supports and resources than ever. The presenter will discuss strategies for finding balance during these difficult times. Attendees will ahve an opportunity to actively apply what they are learning to themselves and their current situation\, with an eye to improved self-care.\n\n*This event is offered in conjunction with State of Mind Hudson\n\n\n\nPresenter: Dr. Victoria Kress\n\nVictoria E. Kress\, Ph.D./LPCC-S\, NCC\, CCMHC is a Professor and Director of the Community Counseling Clinic at Youngstown State University. She serves as the coordinator of the clinical mental health and addiction counseling programs at Youngstown State University. Shhe has over 20 years experience in various clinical settings. She served as the governor appointed member of the Ohio Counselor\, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board\, and served as the chair of the Counselor Professional Standards Committee. She has been the recipient of over 30 counseling awars\, most of which for her scholarship and her leadership\, advocacy\, and mentorship initiatives. She is the past president of Chi Sigma Iota International and the Ohio Counseling Association and she is the past ACA Midwest Region chair. She has published over 120 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has co-authored 5 books on counseling adults and children.
